Workshop 2

2 December 2003 - The Pyramid Centre, Portsmouth

Workshop 2 consisted of two identical sessions to enable wider participation in the development of the MRS.  Each session lasted about 3 hours and produced some interesting and very useful feedback.

The purpose of workshop 2 was to identify a common vision, aims and principles to guide the development and implementation of the MRS. The officers produced some draft ideas for the vision, aims and principles, from previous consultation work in Hampshire, as a basis for stakeholder discussions. Stakeholders also looked at strategic objectives for each of the MRS elements (engaging the process chain, establishing material recovery systems and enabling delivery on the ground). The strategic objectives will define the goals for each of the elements to achieve the MRS vision.
